Meetings of the PCSBA’s department leaders take place every two months. During these gatherings, leaders report on the work accomplished and share their plans for the future. At the April meeting, A. B. Pronin presented a short seminar on what a leader should be like, reports from the department leaders were heard, and then the group discussed how successfully PCSBA’s ministries reach churches and what is the future of the PCSBA’s newsletters.
Unfortunately, according to statistics from the company used to distribute the emails, interest in the newsletters is declining—and not only in them. The number of views of news articles on the PCSBA’s website and the videos published on the PCSBA’s YouTube channel also leaves much to be desired.
It was also noted that events organized by the PCSBA’s departments are attended mainly by members of the host churches, with only a small representation from other churches. This is despite the fact that all churches receive the relevant announcements.
All of this is prompting ministry staff to reflect on the reasons behind this trend, to look for ways to improve communication with churches, to better understand the current needs of church members, and to increase their interest in what the PCSBA’s is doing.
We sincerely hope that these discussions will bear real fruit and lead to positive changes.
