On July 13, about 500 young people from various churches around Sacramento came to “The Saints of Sac” event which took place at Grace Family Church this time. The meeting was directed at strengthening unity and spiritual support, as well as covering the need for purity in our contemporary, overly-sexualized world.
Pastor Dmitriy Zherebnenkov preached a great message against the pressure from peers, television, social cites, and society in general to engage in sexual acts. He spoke about the importance of being sexually pure from young years. There was a lot of great feedback, and the audience was challenged to think properly about sexual purity, and about the importance of holding to Christian values before marriage. They were also instructed on how to have proper boundaries with the members of the opposite sex.
After the end of the sermon, the youth had an opportunity to get to know each other better and grab a cup of coffee with some sweets.
In a world where all morals are challenged, these types of events are very important to the youth, not only because they are bringing the youth from various churches together, but also because they are encouraging people to live righteous and holy lives.
