Sergey Pronin was born in Donetsk, Ukraine. At the age of 18, he joined Bethany Church, where he received water baptism and committed himself to active service in the church. His ministry began with leading the youth choir and later the main church choir. Throughout the years, he has faithfully served as a teacher and music minister.
In 2004, Sergey married his wife Alina. Together they are raising seven children, which they joyfully regard as a special blessing from the Lord. He currently serves as a deacon in a church in Bryte, Sacramento, California.
Sergey has received both musical and theological education. He completed his music studies in Ukraine and later, after immigrating to the United States in 2008, earned degrees in business, theology, and psychology, including a Master of Divinity and an MBA. He also holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Harvard University.
For many years, Sergey has been devoted to the ministry of Christian education. He has taught at the Blagovest Ministry Institute since 2015 and has served as Director of Bryte Christian Academy since 2016. In December 2025, he accepted the responsibility of leading the Education Department of the Union.
