On November 29, a women’s pre-Christmas gathering took place at Rockland Baptist Church, becoming a special time of spiritual fellowship, inspiration, and preparation of hearts for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. More than 100 women from different churches came together for this event, highlighting unity and a shared desire for fellowship with God.
The meeting was opened by the church’s senior pastor, Nikolay Bugriyev, who welcomed those present with an opening message and a time of joint prayer, setting everyone’s hearts toward reflection on the spiritual meaning of the upcoming holiday and the importance of a personal relationship with Christ.
The main theme of the gathering was “An Encounter with Christ.” This theme was shared by ministers of the Word, Galina Fyodorovna Bugriyeva and Olesya Dobychina. In their encouraging messages, they spoke about how every woman can experience a living and personal encounter with Christ in everyday life—how to open her heart to Him, entrust Him with her concerns, and find in Him a source of peace, hope, and renewal.
The speakers’ words were filled with profound biblical truths, personal testimonies, and practical examples, making their messages especially relatable and meaningful for the listeners. The atmosphere of the gathering was marked by warmth, sincerity, and spiritual unity.
The pre-Christmas meeting became a blessed time of strengthening faith, fellowship, and mutual support, leaving in the hearts of the participants joy, inspiration, and an anticipation of the great miracle of Christmas—the coming of Christ into the life of every person.
